"For some reason NBC News Journalist Richard Engel found that even though they were kidnappers that the group responsible for his capture in Syria must surely be trustworthy when it comes to who they might possibly be. Turns out that was not the case. In the wake of a scandal involving Pundit Brian Williams falsifying facts it seems that NBC News must apologize yet again for a news story with false information, but rather than the Journalist being at fault it seems that it was a clever ruse on the part of the kidnappers, who claimed they were Shiite militiamen loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Turns out that was not the case.
Some took to twitter and other social media, claiming that they believed it was Engel who was lying and not totally the victim."
